I’ve probably been more nervous about connecting the electrics than was warranted (the manual simply says, “the wiring can be connected to the car’s loom”) as all the connections are straight forward despite there being a number of wires off the harness that Derek advises are “no longer used” or “not used on your model”, so simply have to be tied up out of the way.  Whilst I’ve added some of the necessary cables ties as I’ve gone along, I have left some for after the plumbing is in, to make the most of being able to pass pipes through the confined spaces. Little did I know!

Front Anti-Roll Bar, Brake Hoses, Horn & Radiator

Blatchat to the rescue – a previous self-builder had the same track-rod problem to which the solution is fairly obvious – put the joint under load (jack from below) and hit it with a rubber mallet.  Worked a treat!  Now that’s done, I can torque everything up.
